Helena Ellis

I am the founder and Managing Director of Biobanking Without Borders, LLC, a biobanking consulting company providing expertise through times of institutional transition, development and growth. I have over 30 years’ experience in human subjects’ research gained at Harvard School of Public Health, Brown University, and Duke University. I dedicated my career to the field of biobanking starting in 2001. I served on the Biorepository Accreditation Committee of the College of American Pathologists. I’ve contributed to the development of the International Society of Biological and Environmental Repositories' (ISBER) Best Practices. I have consulted on the Cancer Moonshot Biobank funded by that National Cancer Insitute. My other clients are academic medical centers, non-profit research foundations and biobanking start-ups.
